It appears from looking at The Pirate Bay’s website that someone has released the Gold Master and final version of the new OSX 10.5 Leopard that is scheduled to be released on Friday. It was allegedly sourced from your friendly neighbourhood Usenet binary newsgroups.
What will be interesting to see is if anyone reports any differences between what developers outside of Apple know about the new distribution and the actual release. Could Stevie have added any juicy new top secret features??
I am looking forward to the release on Friday with great anticipation. I used to be a Windows fan and then became a huge Linux fan from around 2001 onward. I found that while I really liked the hardware in the form factor of the iMac, as elegant as it gets I think, what surprised me is how fast I fell in love with OSX as an O/S. For me it’s the best of both worlds. A beautiful functional desktop on top of UNIX. Certified now. It plays nice with Active Directory (easily now), and above all, it supports the large mainstream apps like the Adobe products as well as having iLife bundled for free with a new Mac. I’m sorry, ya just can’t beat that!
oh - I still LOVE Linux though! It powers all my commodity hardware servers flawlessly.
